Angry Wrecked My Poor Truck

Had a lot of snow and ice the other day and even though I was going slow, I couldn't get slowed/stopped in time. I made it around the curve right before the stop sign but it was at a "Tee" in the road and I didn't make it around the corner.

Jack-knife the truck/gooseneck trailer and slid off the shoulder into a pretty deep drainage ditch.

Insurance adjuster says $7800 in damage but it's going to e a bit more than that because some of his prices are lower than the prices I checked on a few things.

The good part is nobody was hurt.

Bent the exhaust and it cracked the rear aluminum diff. cover. Had to cut it off.

Thankfully they didn't total it. Going tite most of it fixed at the body shop. Going to do a few things myself to help on the deductible. May upgrade the bumper and the exhaust cheaper than OEM.

Thanks for the offer.

That really sucks the worst part is the dent in the cab. Hope they get it fixed like new for you. And you're probably better off getting a new bed

Yikes! That must have been an experience with the back window crashing in like that! Hopefully, it will all get sorted out with no issues.

Glad no one was hurt. Good thing you know how to tie down a load and the tractor didn't decide to come loose.
