Hitch Pin

Anyone else have trouble getting their hitch pitch to reach across enough to get clip in. Seems this truck has reinforced area on outside of oem hitch and all my old hitched ive had in the past, the pins are to short. Odd. 2011 f250 btw

The hitches used now are class V which are a little bigger. The pins from the class IV are too short. My truck came with a pin and clip that worked fine but I opt for a locking pin that can be picked up at most auto parts stores or online these days.

I had a new 2012 before this one, and I never had a problem. The '12 had the Class V hitch either wanting an adapter or the 2.5" hitch. This '11 looks as if there is a permanent adapter in the hitch. I will check into a class V pin and see if that will work thanks as I am not 100% whether I used the pin that came with my new '12 or not. Anyhow thanks for the input
