White diesel clean

My buddy just bought a 2011 6.7..... He asked what I use in my 6.0 in zero weather for fuel and I told him white diesel Kleen. Ford told him he can't use diesel Kleen it can only be ford stuff with 6.7 cause it messes up Dpf....any truth to this?

I'm no diesel engineer by no means but using disel kleen is to prevent gelling...Don't know how this would effect the DPF...just don't put the diesel kleen where the DEF is suppose to go

Also, I use xdp for a fuel additive and I've had no problems with my DPF and regen cycles. Knock on wood

No truth to that at all, if the Diesel Kleen is used in the recommended dosage levels. Sounds like your Ford dealer wants you to buy their product -- from their parts counter.

I've used it with positive results in my 6.4L 2008 F350, and now my 6.7L 2012 F250. Both run smoother in the winter (with the white bottle) and summer (silver bottle) according to the recommended dosage on the bottle, and I can document a 1-1.5 mpg increase in fuel economy in the summer. Not enough to pay for itself, but it's certainly not hurting to use it!
