Coolant Leak

When I bought the truck it had a check engine light on the guy played like it was nothing. I test drove it and ran fine. Get it home and done all the deletes. Tuner gave me a egr code. Now no code but leaks. H&S tuner, 5 inch exhaust, s & b intake, h&s egr delete. I noticed right before I had a small fluid leak I couldn't never spot where it was coming from. I went ahead and installed my stuff. Still leaking slightly. I notice small spots on ground. Thought it was tranny so I took it to my local mechanic to have him check it out and go ahead and service front and rear end while he had it. Calls me saying its the egr cooler leaking, leaks when pressurised, but I deleted that I thought. Needless to say he don't fix diesel motors so now I have to figure out where to take it. But I'd like to know what could be leaking and get me a ballpark idea on repair cost before I do. Any help from you guys is appreciated.

One more ? Kinda a different subject. I've noticed this truck deleted reeks of diesel smell when idling. I never remember my 6.4 doing that. Is this common or something wrong?
