What OBD Scan tool for 6.7L

My cheap old OBD scan tool will not work on my 6.7. Any Suggestions on decent unit to buy? I have had 3 EGT Sensors go out on me now leaving me stranded with the "Safe Shutdown" Light. I have 90K on the truck and only the first was covered under warranty. My reason for buying the OBD Scan tool would be so next time this happens, I can do a quick scan to determine which of the 4 EGT sensors went out, and replace it with the spare that I am now going to carry in my glove box. I am not doing any crazy diagnostic on the truck, but I hate to pay the dealership 200 bucks to replace a sensor that costs 40, and in my opinion should be covered under the 100K drive-train warranty. I assume any scan tool I buy will work on my 7.3.

I read a bunch tonight about the AE, but are there any hand held units that work ok with the 6.7? I don't really want to spend the 350 on the AE with the ford enhancement. Plus a laptop does not fit very well in my glove box.

You're gonna spend way more on a good scan tool that will read diesels.

What is Auto Enginuity?? I've been contemplating a good scan tool also, however this may be a better option for me. Especially if it will read the 6.0 Ltr codes.

Actually looks as though it has a ton of potential. Provided you don't need a PHD to use it lol.
