Can Ford re-key my 2013?

My wife's keys were stolen today and we lost one of our two truck keys. Now I'm afraid whoever has the key can just drive through parking lots and hit the buttons and find my truck. I'm going to have to buy and program another key but I wonder if Ford can re-key it so that the stolen key will no longer work?

You can go to the dealer and get a new key made and programmed to the truck and it will kick out the missing key without rekeying the old key would still be able to unlock the door if the people who have sticks it in the door but It will not start the engine

Nor will the remote work on the old keys also. So they would have to know which truck to look for.

I found it interesting too that if you lock the truck with a remote, then come by and manually unlock it using the key (not the remote) and open the door, the alarm will sound in 30 seconds with a countdown on the display if you don't start the engine. Nice feature -- if somebody DOES open the truck, it's at least going to let you know about it =)

And if you want extra keys (without the remote buttons) made in the future, check this out:

FORDF SERIES PICK UP F150 F250 F350 F450 F550 HOT RED REPLACEMENT TRANSPONDER CHIP IGNTION KEY FORDF SERIES PICK UP F150 F250 F350 F450 F550 HOT RED REPLACEMENT TRANSPONDER CHIP IGNTION KEY
from Discount Keyless.

I bought 2 of them for $12 each and had the local Ace hardware cut them as duplicates to the Ford keys which came with my F250.

I then programmed the transponder in each red key using the procedure described in the Ford owner's manual. The procedure requires you use both of your Ford original equipment keys during the programming sequence.
