Starter Issue on my '13 F350

This is the second time I have had this issue. It sounds like the starter is not engaging the fly wheel and is just spinning on it's own. I run a dash cam on my truck so I grabbed the clip and edited it down to see what the internets think of it before it goes to the dealer at the end of the week.

Two key cycles, one just spinning, second started just fine....

First starter issue I've heard of on these forums. Hopefully dealer will take care of you pretty quick on it.

Never have heard that on mine. Let us know what the dealer says.

How's your dash cam setup? I'm curious about that...

Thats exactly what that noise is the starter shaft is sticking and not extending down the slide before spinning, thats a no brainer for warranty replacement

possibly bad battery connection or low batt, also could check the starter power connections. Shaft doesnt seem to be engaging which typically is a low power issue

I have a Lukas LK-7900 dash cam, it is Korean made (Much better then Chinese). It was the most inconspicuous of the quality dash cams. 1080P, Excellent day video, good night video, accepts 128GB SD Card(largest I've seen), records in different files for parked/motion, Driving, & Event (G-sensor marks the clip by the parameters you set).

I also have it hooked up to a power source that will shut off after a set period of time 6hrs-infinity or until the vehicles battery drop below a certain level.

My first cheap $40 Chinese camera came in handy when someone hit and ran my '11 F250 at a gas station. I poped the card into the laptop and showed the cop exactly what happened, guys face, plate etc. The Cop was blown away.

Pic of my cam before I routed the wire around the windshield...

I also put an Olympus Polarized 37mm Lens on it as well, to cut back on glare from the dash reflection.
