Cheapest place for Reese elite

So I messed up not adding the in bed 5th wheel/gooseneck hitch for 370 when I ordered my truck because the wife and I are now looking at getting a 5th wheel rv. I really want the factory reese elite hitch and was wondering if anyone knows the cheapest place to get it. I was looking on etrailer and eBay for it. Thanks

Yep, , your dealer can install the same 5th wheel prep package you did not buy when new. Depending on your dealer, the price could surprise you too. I was about to have this done to my 2011 F250 then decided to trade for a dually.

Call your dealer service dept. and ask how much for the factory hitch prep installed. You can buy the 5th wheel itself online cheaper than Ford though. Look at some sites or do a search for truck hitches.

I can tell you the factory prep and Elite 5th wheel are very nice to have. Strong as heck and then pops right out when you need to use the bed.

I also bought my truck without the prep package.
I was looking into Reese but went with B&W companion underbed and 5th wheel. The underbed kit took a bit of work to instal but it wasn't bad at all.
And I don't have anything to compare to but its nice! Its Quite, easy to hook up too and it has lots of good reviews. I bought the $10 Teflon disk in Lou of having to use grease.
As far as cheap it wasn't. I think total I spent $1200.

I hope that's installed??
Save yourself $500 and do it yourself.
I needed to buy a 4" hole saw for the goose neck
And I had the hole saw for the plug in the bed. The harness plugged into the factory harness.

$1700 is for the parts and I'll be installing it myself, I could cheap out and get a 5th wheel and rails for 450-500 but I want the factory style one

I think etrailer might have about as good of a price as you can get. I would check with your dealer as well and see if they will sell to you at cost given you bought the truck there.

I talked to the guy I ordered my truck from and he never answered when I asked if I could get the bed hitch for $370, it was worth a shot!

The $370 option is for the "Prep", not the hitch. It is the under-bed mounting system that the Elite fits into. The Elite hitch is well over $1000. If I were you, I would look into getting the B&W Companion hitch. It is getting very good reviews and I am not all that well pleased with my Elite.
