I didn't notice anything when I did mine.
I went the route of trying to keep the DPF first and used the MBRP filter back just like you are (thought I went with the 5".)
After futzing with the green card and finding it caused a bunch of problems and never delivered on performance or mpg, I deleted.
W/ deletes everything changes, but a filter back doesn't do a thing other than look cool (IMHO it looked a lot better than the stock dual tip.)
