2014 Delivery

Hello everyone, I ordered a 2014 on July 19th and took delivery on August 29th. So far I really like the truck overall but there are a few things I don't. It did its first regen at 125 mi. and since then the filter is 40% with 180 mi. Hopefully it will settle down. Also not happy by the fact it doesn't have an oil pressure guage. Why in the H they didn't put one in is crazy. I will be putting one on soon. I want to suggest to anyone out there thinking of ordering a new one to get the OCR option. If you are in heavy stop and go traffic you can pull over when the DPF is 100% and initiate the regen yourself. It only takes about 10-12 min. and you are good to go. Thanks for reading. Dg

My 2013 regens every 70-80 miles in city driving. It regens every 125-150 miles at highway speeds. Seems this is what many are reporting.

OP, do you have an edge insight or something like that telling you DPF levels? Or do the '14s tell you in the dash?

The 14's have a read out on an LCD screen that tell's you % full or at least mine does.

I wouldn't worry about an oil pressure gauge. Stock gauge like that is probably worthless anyway.
Are you supposed to pull over and initiate regen or keep driving?

With OCR you could do it either way.

If I know I can't maintain 35 + MPH and the filter reads 100% then I pull over and initiate the regen myself. I did this the first time with 125 mi. on it and it worked great. Took about 10 min. Glad I got the OCR option.

O2AZRattler,

How do you know if you have OCR? Check the Window sticker? Or is there an option in one of the dash control screens? I have a 2013....

I believe that option is not available on lariats and king ranch... at least not on the 11-12's
