Ford warranty sucks!!!!

Another issue with my truck. I really regret trading in my tundra!!! Left front mirror intermittenly does not fold in any more. Brought to dealer, said they would have to order parts but first will have to have truck for 3 days for tear down and diag. send pictures into the "engineer". There is a scratch on the outer mirror. they are calling it an impact and will not cover it! if you guys have seen the way they recalibrate the mirrors!?!?!!?! this tech was beating it to in and out. now it will not stay locked in the out position. and they are calling it abuse and will not cover under warranty. Terrible customer service. I work at a Toyota dealer and we will warranty it without questioning it. It is so frustrating dealing with another dealer. Just to replace mirror will be $1500 customer pay.

Those son of a b*****s....

Customer service sucks these days. I just bought furniture at a reputable furniture store. It was delivered damaged. They took it to fix it, brought it back more damaged...then denied fixing it. I called the store manager and told him I was going to load this S**T in the bed of my truck, bring it down to the store, dump it in front of the store, and then stand out in front and tell every swinging dick that walks up not to buy anything from this chain because their customer service sucks. I said at this point I was to pissed to give a s**t. The furniture got taken care of.

I think I would try another dealer, there must be 50 of them in and around Houston.

Agreed, some techs are complete morons! But there are very good ones out there that actually love their job. Find a different dealer!

its not the tech, i spoke with him. he would love to replace it, he had already ordered the part the first time i went in. its the damn warranty company "engineer" sounds like FORD can not stand behind their product. its just crazy how we will bend over backwards for our customers and replace damn near everything under warranty. whatever makes them happy. for instance all the water pumps and hybrid batteries. if its like 20000 miles out, we will still replace it under factory warranty. all we have to do is contact our regional warranty manager...

now i am going on day 2 in a damn f150 base model rental. it is really ticking me off my truck has to go to the dealer every 2 - 3 weeks for some bs. and at 30,000 miles they try to sell me every FLUID the truck has. i've got the impression that Ford and the dealers are thieves.

I wouldn't trust anybody who beats on the mirror to get it back in and completely breaks it and says... We won't warranty that.

If you have the paperwork that says you had the issue and took it to a dealer and it shows the mileage as being within warranty, isn't that good enough? Take that paperwork to another dealer and show them that you tried to fix the problem in good faith during the warranty period and it was the dealer that screwed it up. Which is why you're at the other dealer now.

Just a thought.

You need to call Ford warranty and tell them what this dealer did to your truck.
It just might get fixed and the dealer have to pay for it.
