Amp Research Bed Step2

Has anyone installed the AMP Research bed step2 on thier truck? If so any clearance problems? Do you like them? How high is the step from the ground when extended? Got pictures?

Thanks,
Thom

I ran a search looking for anyone who had these because I scored one on ebay for $140 shipped. Amp Research makes very high quality equipment. I use this site to qualify any purchase I make for my truck so I want to pay it forward in any way I can

well thom12 is still around so maybe he will reply

I bought a used one for 75 bucks IIRC it's a decent unit i can use it even with an 8 inch lift and 37"s then again I'm 6'4" 260 lbs so any shorter and not sure I would be able to use it ? probably couldn't use it if I were any fatter either

the down side is you almost want 2 ( i know I do with my tool box ) one for each side and then one of the rear style

I have the bed step with 8"s of lift, and its effective but not convenient.

I feel like I need a handle or something to grab on to.

Plus I'm 6'4" - 300lbs so it "feels" suspect hahahaha.

I have the one at the front of the bed to get into my took box. it works nicely. wish it came out a little further so i wasnt so close to the truck. dont want to scratch my truck with my belt buckle lol. but definitely is nice and makes reaching things in the tool box alot easier

Right on Trav, Ford had those side steps (not Amps) on the F150s for a while huh, I guess they rusted off........
