What jack stands are you using?

Well I'll be installing my Carli 2.5" level in a week or two and am looking into some jack stands. I figure 6 tons are the better way to go with trucks these heavy but am between 2 kinds and wanted to see what others thought.

This is the first set: Torin (China made, higher quality metal?) which has rave reviews, I also like that they are double locking.

The second:
US made Hein-Werner US made, but have considerable poorer reviews regarding weld quality.

I usually try to buy American when possible, but with something that is keeping 4 tons from falling on me I'd rather go with the better of the two.

Obviously this isn't American but when I was doing a lift on my bronco I bought some from harbor freight. Mine were orange and white... It looks like they have a newer model. $90 for up to 30" and it says up to 20,000 pounds... Mine are incredibly well built and I have used them for a bunch of thing since.

I have those orange jack stands from HF as well. They worked on my Excursion (heavier in the back end but overall the same weight) and have been quite acceptable for the F350. The quality of the welds is good and the finish is ok as well.

Harbor freight has more than their share of total crap, but they also have some great stuff. I try to view most things I buy there as disposable tools. Read the reviews on the item your looking at and people will tell you whether it is junk or not. Their heavy duty jack stands typically have great reviews.

I found a 20% off coupon for the HF stands which makes them $71, I can live with that plus $6 shipping. I'm still a bit apprehensive, I always get their catalogs but never went due to being China made

12 Ton Jack Stands
Gotta go with Johnny on this one. My $100 Harbor Freight Jackstands (12 Ton) have been through several suspension installs on several trucks. I have 4 and they were tall enough to droop out the front end of my old dodge to fit a 6" Carli coil in!

What are you guys using as jack points? The pad under the radius arm link to axle? Then putting stands under frame by door?
