Largest Tire on Stock Rim

I have a 2013 F-250 with 265/70/17 tires. I think the rim width measured
7-3/4'' wide.

Truck is stock. Going to go with Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs

Whats the biggest tire I can fit on those rims?

Most of the tire website will show what the recommended rim width is for any size of tire.

If you go a wider tire than the recommended, You are essentially squeezing the tire. To a certain point this is not a probably, But it really depends on how you use the truck.

If you load the truck up heavy, towing heavy trailers, campers or other loads in the bed. A oversized tire on too narrow of a rim will wear excessively fast. If you re ok with fast tread wear, Knock your self out.

If you run empty and never tow, it's not near the problem.

Just check the manufactures tire website and they give the ranges of what rims will work.

I would also like to know the answer to this question, I just got my 2015 and the tires are so small and crappy, got stuck in 8'' of soft grass/mud in 4wd.
I have the 17'' rims and have searched all over to no avail.

I have the DuraTracs on my Jeep, love the tire -- but you will be pretty severely limiting yourself in size and load ranges with them. Just today I had 285/75's put on my Dodge -- they're a good size, not too skinny but taller with the 75 profile. That's about the best size I think we can get in a 17. Good luck!

There should be no problem with 35s if that's what you're looking for.

Not to hijack, but has anyone put 35x12.50x18 on stock spare? and if so does it fit in the stock location? I have been running 35's on 20's for a year now and should get off my wallet and put a full size spare under there.
