no gear display

Jumped in my truck to go to a cookout and noticed that my 654321 gear display would not work while in drive?

Any clue?

Thanks....

Did you try holding the + button on manual shift? That's how I figured out to get mine to pop up by accident

You don't have to hold the + button, just push it while in drive and it will come up.

I didn't know I had one for the first month I owned the truck until I bumped the + button one day and I thought......I gotta be gettin senile to have missed that for so long. I don't understand the "feature' of making it disappear. And yes, once cleared, it will not come back until you hit the + button again.

The +/- is just a toggle

The original 2011 trucks did not have this feature at all. It was added with the 400/800 flash update.
