a/c keeps coming on?

i have 2012 lariat with the auto controls. I like to turn off the controls and just go windows down. my problem is that the ac will come on with the auto button 4 or so times by itself.its just like if you turn it off then hit the auto button. is there a pre set outside temp that turns it on? i'm in northern Canada and it is just starting to get hot up here 28c or so.

I have had the same thing happen in my truck once. It is weird how you say it turned on 4 times, becuase thats what I saw also.

I have no idea, why it did it. And it has never happed again (knock on wood).
