I picked up my 2012 F250 Lariat about 2 months ago and I have around 1200 miles (low miles cause I travel a lot from home by plane). My brother in-law purchased his 2013 F-250 KR 2 months ago as well (probably around 3,000 miles).

The mileage you're reporting sounds about right for in town. We've both been seeing around 12-14 in town. Upwards of 18 highway.

Only thing weird is my brother in-law already had to fill his DEF tank. I'm thinking the dealership must have forgotten to fill up the DEF before letting it leave the lot?

You won't start to get accurate MPG's until 2-3k miles. While your current gas mileage does sound pretty bad, I'd wait until you've put more mileage on the clock.

sorry for the newb question but what does, "kr" stand for?
*edit - got it. King Ranch. I guess my Lariat response wouldn't be valid then lol.

I have a 2013 f250 6.7L CC Lariat Loaded and 10k miles. I average right around 15.5mpg on most every tank. around 14ish in town and 16-19 highway depending on conditions.

I have a 12' CCSB 4x4. Got it in December of 12' and have 19,000 on her. I live in Cincinnati, so I do get a few miles of highway (sometimes at a stand still) and around town with a lot of red lights. Mileage went from 15, to 16 most of the winter, spring time saw 17, and now getting 18.
I did get 20.8 on a trip, kept it at 65 and had a tail wind, all down hill LOL
Towing my fishing boat to KY it gets 14ish, but never downshifts
