Question about the fuel filter on 6.7

Hey guys dont know to much about the 6.7 but my buddy just got one and hes unsure what the fuel filter thing is all about next to the diesel fill cap on the truck? Thanks fellas

The diesel exhaust fluid goes in there. It's not a filter. Those are located at the fuel tank and under the hood on the drivers side. There will be a message in the instrument cluster that will let him know when it needs filling up.

DEF will be available at most auto parts stores and Walmart. Like the above said a light will come on and tell you when its low. Don't drive long after the light come on though. I'm pretty sure it will go Into limp mode if it runs out
