Is this possible?

Hi all,
Im looking at the H&S tuners for more power and fuel economy. Everyone that ive seen having tuners have their trucks deleted in someway. I don't want to delete but just want more power and econ, so my question is can I put an H&S tuner without deleting anything? just downloading the programs and plugging it in?
Thanks!

With just a tuner and no deletes, yes you will get more power but you won't really see a fuel economy increase. This is mainly because with stock exhaust, when you add more power, you add more soot, and with more soot you get more regens " cleaning exhaust filter" this causes fuel mileage to drop severely.

So to see a fuel mileage increase I'd have to get a dpf delete? Is that the same as getting rid of the def kit?

Yes the only way to really see a fuel mileage increase is get a dpf delete pipe.

And yes once you install delete tuning on your truck it shuts off your egr and the def system.
