Transmission Flush @ 60k miles?

The dealer mentioned during my last service visit that Ford recommends the transmission to be flushed as part of the 60k mile service (my truck is a few hundred shy of 60k). They've tried to sell me on "required service" before it's required according to the manual before, so I told them not to perform the change. Service adviser went on & on about how it's vital for the transmission, etc. Thoughts? Stick to the manual (which I believe says 100k) or listen to the dealership?

I'm generally of the mindset that I won't keep this truck much past the extended warranty, so why bother performing extra maintenance... But thought I'd get opinions on the matter.

As a side note, I change my oil about every 6,800 - 7,000 miles. The same service tech told me I should be changing it at least every 5k miles. is offline

The specs say 150,000 service on the tranny unless you are following the Severe Service schedule.
