Chrome mirror covers

My truck has the chrome package and I have been trying to get rid of as much of the chrome as possible a little time. I really wish my truck had just the plain all black mirrors. Anyone now if you can just pop the chrome covers out and pop the plain black ones in or it's a whole different mirror assembly? If not i know I can just prolly wrap them. Does anyone know if any of the vinyl companies have came out with a color match for the tuxedo black?

I was in the same boat.....I ordered new covers from Tasca and then had line-x applied to them. They look good. To get your chrome ones off just tilt your mirrors all the way down and use a long flathead screwdriver to pry the tabs to release the caps. Good luck

You could always shoot plastidip on the OEM chrome many folks are using it for rims and other parts

worst case is you can peel it all off and leave the part unaffected
plus your out only the $ of the spray
