Broken Mirror

Had my mirror hit yesterday on my 2011 F-250 Lariat. The only damage appears to be that the top chrome cover on the outside of the mirror is missing and the large piece of mirror glass is broken. Can I just buy the glass (heated) and chrome cover or will I need to replace the entire mirror assembly?

Also any help on how to remove the broken mirror would be much appreciated as I can not find any bolts from looking at the back of the mirror alone.

Where is the best place to order the parts?

Yes, you can just buy those parts individually. My chrome cover was defective from the factory and kept popping off. Dealer ordered a new one, popped it on, and good to go. While I was waiting for the part to come in at the dealer, I looked online at tousleyfordparts.com. You can see the exploded parts diagram and purchase the parts you need.

As far as getting the mirror out, not 100% about the heated glass but my manual 08+ mirrors you just pushed it all the way to the side it most allows you to get your fingers in and just pull, its scary but it will come out. id imagine the heated glass is the same except theres a plug in it

Thanks! It looks like a small clip is behind it when you push it all the way towards the truck. I didn't want to take it out at the time till I have my replacement parts but I'd imagine a long screw driver should release the clip and hopefully pop the mirror out.
