Today I finally rescued my new F-250 from the rail yard where it had sat for a week waiting for a transporter to the dealer. When I got it home the first thing I did was change the oil. I was expecting to see a quarter-turn oil pan drain plug, but no! It was a regular old threaded plug like I've had in every other vehicle I've owned.
I triple-checked to make sure I wasn't draining the transmission by mistake!
Anyway, glad to finally have my truck. I'm really looking forward to putting the miles on it. I'm just curious now what other changes my late-2013 build may have? The only other thing I noticed was that it doesn't have a spiral dip stick, but I think that change was made a while ago. (Same with the dead pedal, I guess.)
