Firestone 2535 kit on 2013's issue

(me) I have been trying to install the Firestone Ride Rite 2535 Kit on my truck most of the day with no luck. I searched this forum and the internet without luck and them my wife found this on another forum. I thought I would copy and paste it here

(quote) Just want to make everyone aware of the following. The Firestone Ride Rite 2535 kit will not fit all 2013's. It is stated that it does, and in fact will fit "some" 2013's but not all. The issue is the left (driver) upper bracket frame hole/bracket alignment is off by about 1/2-3/4". I called Firestone about this and they are aware of the issue and are working on a new bracket. They have no ETA for it, but he stated it would probably be a couple months.
I haven't been able to identify which 2013's it will fit on. Although my thought would be to check and determine if the two frame holes (urea tank bracket and the jounce stop) line up center to center straight up and down. If not, then it won't fit.
I was able to get around this by taking the bracket and beating the crap out of it in a vise with a small sledge hammer until the holes were offset enough to fit in the frame. This will work for now, but Firestone told me to give them a call back in a few months when the bracket is ready and they will ship me one to replace what I have.
I don't post very much but figured you all could benefit from my frustration with it

(me) Then he got a reply from Firestone

(quote) hey all, just an update on this. I called Firestone and they now have the new 2535 LS top bracket available for the 2013's. If you already have the kit you can call them and they will ship you a new bracket free of charge. They also stated they are going to start including the new bracket in all the 2535 kits shortly. So, if you are going to put the 2535 kit on a 2013, I'd call the dealer where you are going to purchase them and make sure you get the new bracket........................................... .................................................

(me) Have any of you guys had this problem.
