Vehicle Safe

I've been looking around trying to find a safe that I could mount in my truck. I've seen the one that goes in you console but it takes up the entire console. I'm just needing something big enough to hold cash and sometimes a handgun but I also want it to be stout enough that if my truck gets broken into, the theives wont be able to bust it open easily.
Has anyone added one to their truck or considered doing the same thing? Any ideas on a safe and where to mount it?

Thanks in advance!

Do the rear seats fold up in these trucks? If so, mount one below the seat so it is at least semi-covered.

You can cable or bolt most of the GunVault models to the floor or seat attachments. Handgun Safes - Hand Gun Safes - Pistol Safes | GunVault

BedBunker makes a safe that replaces the storage bins under the rear seats in crew cabs. Truck Safe and Truck Gun Safes : Truck Bunker Safes

Op, are you looking for something you can have at the ready near you, or have to jump into the rear of your cab to access? There are plenty of hiding spots in these trucks and liberty makes small safe's aimed towards concealment. You could make a sub box center console with a trap door and tada!

I did, as I stated in my first post, the only thing pulling up is the console safe and I was curious if anyone had done this and could give me pointers. I appreciate your very helpful and useless post though.

Yes, it does, but it has the storage box under it and I'd like to keep it.

Thanks, I'm liking the bed bunker.

EDIT: I WAS liking the bed bunker until I saw the price.....

It would be nice if it were reachable from the drivers seat but it's not a must. The full floor consoles in these trucks already have a nice trap door under the cup holders, I wish someone made something to turn it into a lockable trap door!
