1st tow for my 13

I just upgraded to a 2013 f-350 CCLB from a 2001 f-250 CCLB and took my 1st trip with our 5th wheel camper. We took it to Disney in Florida which was about a 2600 mile round trip. It towed much better than my 7.3, I was amazed how much more power the 6.7 has and how much better the trans is for towing. I was really impressed. I was also surprised how fast it used the def, but I'll be more prepared next time. All in all it was a great trip and my wife even noticed how much better it pulled.

The DEF tanks are not full from the factory. Mine was only about half but even at that I think it would of made it on your trip. Of course maybe someone at the factory was having a bad day and didn't put much in yours!! LOL. Who knows..

The tank was under half when I left and was back to that on the way back. With that it used about a tank for the trip, but like I said this was my first long tow so I had no baseline beforehand.

That is thirsty on DEF but not overly so especially since he was towing. 2600 miles of towing the whole time will use about a tank of DEF.

1/2 tank DEF should last about 2500 miles towing. Our tanks are 5 gallons and 1 gallon per 1000 miles towing/ hard driving is normal. Easy driving is about 1250MPG...

So not thirsty... Normal.

AutoZone, Checker, O'Reilly, or the dealership. Do you have the productivity screen?
