2013 Platinum Pricing

I was shopping for a Platinum at my local dealership this past weekend, ready to buy with down payment and title in hand for my trade, but the dealership did not want to move from $58,300, or "invoice" minus $3,000 worth of incentives. For those of you that have purchased a 2013 Platinum, how much did you get off of sticker price?

The specs on the truck that I am looking at are as follows:

MSRP $66,050
6.7L
3.55 locking axle
FX4
Supplemental heater
block heater
moonroof
plow prep
roof clearance lights
wheel well liner
upfitter switches
dual alternators
bed extender
heated rear seats
bodyside moldings

Again, sticker price was $66,050, dealer would not budge from $7,750, plus TTL and fees. What say you?

I did the same thing. Priced a Platinum then decided that I didn't want all that chrome crap, heated rear seats, wood steering wheel, heated steering wheel ect. Well I got a loaded Lariat and got a lift, wheels, tires, AMP running boards, Line-X and a Retrax-Pro bed cover for the same price.

I asked them to give me their bottom dollar and then beat them up from there. Always offer less than you think you can get. Also, don't forget to ask for free stuff once they say they wont go any lower (tint, tanks of diesel, oil changes, bed extender ect)

I only got about $1,000 more out of the dealer from what they were advertising the truck at, $15,159 off of sticker. Like I said, the truck I bought was a demo with very few miles so they were "losing money" on it, but they were very aggressive with my trade to make the deal work for me.

The dealer is stuck on 7k off msrp. He said he is already giving us a great deal as he was factoring in the dealer mark up of 5k. Salesman said "you are already getting 13k off the truck". I don't see many of the Platinum Superdutys on the road, now I know why.

If they are considering a discount on their dealer markup of 5k a good deal they are crazy.

Bring that in and say that's your absolute MINIMUM amount off sticker you'd accept.
