If you have ever had water in your fuel please step inside

I am interested to hear how many of you have caught water in your DFCM and what if any impact it had on the rest of the fuel system. From reading on here I have heard stories of total system replacement due to a bad tank of fuel but haven't heard much of getting a little water in the fuel and the DFCM doing its job and not destroying the fuel system. I recently had a scare with what appeared to be a couple of drops of some kind of contaminate which at first I thought was water show up in my fuel that I drained from my DFCM. Long story short I was unaware that a buddy had used my jar that I use to drain my DFCM to drain some old gas/water out of boat gas tank. I thought had gotten everything out of the jar before I drained my DFCM but now think I missed a little. After hearing all the horror stories about water in fuel it is an understatement to say that I am a little paranoid. I have drained the DFCM twice in the last 2 days since that incident and have found no signs of water or contaminate. Enough of my rambling. If you have had water in your fuel tell me what it did to your fuel system and what you had to do to get it out.

There are a couple threads about water in fuel in the 6.7 section. Did you read them already?

I have drained my water seperator 7 times, and have had about 1/2 ounce of water total come out. Guess I am buying good fuel?

Yes, I have read every post I have found about getting water in fuel. You are the first person I have heard of that has gotten water out of the DFCM with no bad outcome from it. Maybe that is just do to such a small amount that it was never able to make it past the DFCM
