Stutters

I have a 2012 6.7 with a little over 1,700 miles on it. No I have not driven it much but I noticed the last couple of times I had it out it wanted to studder / hesitate when I go to first pull out. Im not pushing the peddle to the floor just nice and easy. Today it did it more aggressive then before. It almost felt like the engine shut off for a fraction of a sec but not sure. Once it does it it wont do it again as I continue driving. Soon I will be driving it more so Ill be able to get a feel for what's going on if it continues. I did read on this Forum that there is a new computer setting that just came out from Ford and it almost sounds like it is supost to fix a problem like I am experiancing. Anyone else have problem like this?

Mine does that about once a week. I haven't had time to look into it much, and its such a small hesitation that I haven't really worried about it. I have 12500 miles since December 1st.

Call your dealer and refer them to this TSB. But if your build date was beofre 5/16/12 it won't apply.

Mine does the same thing, especially when the engine has not reached operating temps. 9,000 miles. I think it is emission related.

Mine also does this and my build date was 10/01/12. Addressed it at the dealer and they drove it and could not duplicate it, was at operating temp from drive to the dealer. They said I could leave it over night so they could do it when cold but have not had time yet.

Thanks for all the replys and thanks to frt2599 for that info. My truck was built before 5/16/12 so I'm hoping this is a easy fix. I will call Ford this week to see what they say. I'll post back also.

I've had this happen once as well. It happened during a cold spell when I tried to drive right when I started it. I give it about 30 seconds to idle in the morning and it has not happened since. It was weird. As I pulled away it seems like the engine just shut off, for about 1/2 a second, then cut back on.

Just to give everyone an update I stopped by the Ford dealer where I got my truck and gave them the TSB# that I got from this site. All the service guy did was look at his computer and say "Yes thats the right number, but if it isn't throwing code # PO299 not sure if we can do anything since its under warranty" I guess they need something actually wrong with the truck(check engine light on) before they can do warranty work on it
However as I was walking out he stopped me and said he can maybe have someone look at it,but I'm going to need to leave it over night because it's going to take all day and Blah Blah Blah..
There is another Ford dealer in the next town over. I'll go to them and see what they say.
