Was rear ended last week - Advise Needed

I was hit hard from the rear last week in my 2012 F250 Super Duty Diesel quad cab.

Dodge Grand Caravan couldn't get stopped fast enough when I had to stop quickly to avoid car stopping quickly in front of me to avoid hitting pedestrian.

The Grand Caravan

The Super Duty

OK, here is my question - I was hit hard, although the truck looks barely hit. I am concerned the repair shop might miss some frame damage.

Any advise?

Thx, Steve

I own 4 collision centers and preach good estimating practices to everyone. My advice is to go ahead and choose a good, reputable shop with electronic measuring equipment. Ask them to disassemble the damaged parts to identify everything up front. Make sure they do measure the frame and provide printouts of the damage analysis before doing any frame repair and another print out of the frame measurements afterward.

I am "pretty much" OK. However, I am having some chiropractic done as my left shoulder and neck has been sore. I don't know about the guy that hit me - we both seemed OK immediately after the accident.

I am very thankful.

It shocks me to look at the pictures even now - I am grateful for the tank-like build of the Super Duty.

Forgot to add, make sure they replace the receiver hitch, no matter what. There is no way to assure welds were not damaged and you don't want to find out when you are towing!

Agreed 100%. Man, the van looks like it's had a severe front impact while your truck has a little ding
