6.7 egr delete and cheaper tuning but keep urea

My father has a 2012 ford f350 6.7 all stock except for a levelling kit and since its a work truck up here in northern Alberta it idles a lot. He wants to delete the egr because his old truck a 07 6.0 saw nothing but egr problems. He wants me to research this for him, so I'm looking for a egr delete kit and and a cheap tuner to delete the egr code but keep the urea and dpf working. He's not after any added horsepower or anything like that. So where can I find parts like this can anyone post links. Low cost is pretty important here too. Thanks for your help

if i understand correctly, the 6.7 egr is good enough to keep. i could be wrong tho. i do know the egr on a 6.4 was better than the 6.0s were.

Much better than 6.0's but still an issue with excessive idling it appears.

If your going to spend $1000 on a tuner capable of removing the EGR, Why would you not straight pipe it for another $400? Or get a DPF delete pipe for $150?

I too work in the patch and haven't had an issue with idling my 2012 pretty frequently. If you're going to get a tuner to delete EGR you might as well get rid of the DPF and urea anyways because if push comes to shove and you want to make a warranty claim the dealer really isn't going to care that the DPF is still on there.

even if u did delete the egr and kept the dpf system in place the dpf will not be working to my knowledge you can not only turn one off . im deleted idle daily and love it,the 150 extra for a delete pipe well worth it .

If the DPF is present, and your not going into regen, you're going to have major problems.

It doesn't make sence to only do 1/2 the deletes.
