Horn Noise above 60 mph

I am experiencing a humming noise from the dash that sounds similar to a horn at speeds anywhere from 60mph and above. They dont occur all the time but it can get very annoying. Below is a link to what the noise sounds like.

Have any of you experienced this issue, and have any suggestions as to what it could be?

There have been alot of cases of a leak around the windshield. Something to do with a gasket, or rubber seal not working.

Search "windshield Leak" in the 6.7 section, and you will find some threads about it.

I've had that noise on a couple vehicles, and it always coincided with having a new windshield put it. It would eventually subside. If that's not the case, then my other idea involves digging into the bowels of the dash. Unless you want to remove more of the skin from your hands and forearms, i would suggest taking it to the dealer.

Sounds like the notorious windshield seal.

Mine has done it when going about 80 or above. And my dad said his 450 did it on the way home from Mississippi I guess it was windy.

Door molding

Horn Noise above 60 mph-molding.jpg

My 2011 was doing this exact thing.

If you open the drivers side door and look to the front, there is a triangle piece of black molding. There are several plastic retainers that hold it in place. 2 of my retainers were out and the molding was loose. I snapped them back into the door frame and the noise went away. Hope this helps. See the pic above - sorry could get it to rotate.
