4x4 sticker removal from Tuxedo black

I know people have said that removing the 4x4 stickers is rather easy but just wondering if anyone has ever removed them from the tuxedo black color and if it left a shadow or other evidence of having been there. Truck is a 2012 but didn't get to start sitting on the lot until Sept so they've only been on since then. Thoughts?

yes and no shadow whatsoever. Do it before the sun/acidic rain gets a hold of the paint! If you wash your truck on a regular basis, (i do it weekly), the chance of showing is minimal to none.

I have tuxedo and you can't see any trace whatsoever. Mine is a '10 and i purchased in late '12 and pulled it off.

The sooner you do it, the better.
Did it on my '12 tuxedo black and can't even tell it was there to begin with.
I used a heat gun to remove it... on low temp of course. Peels off real easily using that.

A blow drier is more safe!

What process did you use to safely remove the 4x4 stickers on your black truck? Heat area with a blow dryer and dig at it with a finger nail? I asked an accessory shop if they would remove them and they declined, said I needed a graphics expert to do it.

Let me know if a klutz like me can heat and peel them off without damage. I've never seen it done.

Yeah just heat them up and then work it with your fingernail.

i didnt even need a heat gun to peel mine off. just got a corner started with my fingernail and slowly peeled it off. didnt leave any residue on the paint at all.
