Talking Best Upgrades under $25!

Just picked up my new 2012 KR ! Let the upgrades begin!

I have a few ideas that cost less than $25, and this is the first one.

Turn Signals on inside of Exterior Mirrors. This is great for towing or driving in heavy traffic or if the music is turned way up. Total cost about $18. I used 2 3/4" size LED lights I purchased at Auto parts store and 4 scotch-loc wire connectors.

This takes about 20 minutes and I've posted a few photos of the process. Sorry some photos are sideways and I didn't turn them.Tools you need a 3/4 hole saw, screwdriver for popping out the lens, and pliers for clamping scotch-locs.

Turn signal bulbs are the upper ones and the polarity on the LED lights are reversed so black seems to be the hot wire on the LED lights. I would recommend to drill your 3/4 holes slightly higher as right mirror has a little interference with the LED depth and using red scotch-locs as they are designed for the thinner gauge wire.

They work awesome for keeping you alert and look almost factory as well. Can't believe FORD doesn't make this stuff standard, but then again, I love to tinker with this stuff.

Planning my next under $25 upgrade now and will post it in a few days. Love to hear what others have done, so lets have some fun!

Best Upgrades under $25!

I've thought about doing this many times. If I were to do it'd have the led shaped in an arrow like how it is on other cars if possible
