Cant firgure out what this noise is comming from out side truck!!

Hey guys im pretty sure this has been happening since i got the truck but i guess i just notice it all the time now, when i get out of the truck after its been running, and as i walk away it hear a very light tone almost like a whine or very faint ringing noise, sound like its coming from the rear area of the truck / fuel tank area? Happens every time i exit the truck, even with full tank of fuel which should not matter, and when i come back out to get in it, Gone till the next time truck is turned off, anyone else ? or ideas as to what it could be ?

It's normal. I believe it's the fuel pump. If its not the fuel pump someone will correct me. Mines does it also.

I noticed a couple of noises in my 2012. I read on here in a few posts that the noise in the rear is the DEF pump clearing out the DEF lines and the one under the hood is the EGR valve cycling. Makes sense to me, but my mechanic skills end after about 1 beer. Hope this helps, take care.

check your rear left brake caliper and see if there is a duromax stuck in there..
