Turbo Went South

Going up hill, I passed a car, got back into my lane, let off the throttle, and then I heard what sounded like a slide whistle. I figured that a hose or fitting blew off. I was wrong.

The ace diesel guy at the Ford store said he thought it was the turbo. Well, it was.

The service writer and the tech asked the questions that they already knew the questions to...and in 2.5 days I had my truck back with a new turbo.

Ford approved the warranty, no questions asked.

Tech said that one of the blades on the hot side had failed and went down stream, causing an out of balance situation. I had 15000 mi on the truck at the time.

Sorry Guys,

My truck is a mid production 2012 F250. At the time I wasnt towing. What I tow is not a lot...Little British Sports cars are my drug of choice, so I think my trailer is a couple of hundred pounds heavier than my car.
