New Diesel owner Maint. tips

I just purchased a 2012 Lariat with the 6.7 any tips on things I can do maintenance wise to keep this beast running great. Drain filters? Etc. Always had gas trucks first diesel Thanks in advance.

Read your owners manual cover to cover multiple times. And I drain my water separator before every fill up, to see if I am getting bad fuel.

I only fill up about every 2 months, so it's not to bad for me to check it.

I fill up every week! maybe 2 times.... every 2 months!?!?! I hate you lol

To the OP - Just keep your fluids topped off, check air pressures, run diesel kleen every other fill up and i switched to Amsoil for my 1st oil change and do that every 10,000 miles and change the fuel filters at that time too. It costs about $250 but i feel its worth it.

You only fill up every 2 months? How did you get 56,000 miles on it.

I bought the truck used with 55,000 on the ticker. I have had it since september '12 and think I just broke 57,000...

Oil Change: 5,000mi
Air Filter: 10,000mi
Fuel Filters: 15,000mi

That's what I did before I deleted my truck. I will extend my OCI's now with no DPF or EGR. To soot up my oil & make oil. What a nightmare that was
