Def?

On my 2011 6.7 f250, when I put the key in the ignition and turn it all the way forward with out starting my DEF light comes on my screen. Anyone know why? This has never happend before. All I do is hit OK and it goes away. How do I keep it from coming on?

Does it give you a message or do you just get the DEF symbol that flashes? Does it flash in the center of the notification screen or is it just the little DEF symbol down at the bottom of the screen?

Just got into the truck now. When I hit ok, went away. I scrolled down to information and it says 1 warnings, hit system check its comes up with exhaust fluid range 733 mi. Is it just telling me that its low on fluid?

It will continue to come on and count down mileage till you refill the DEF and reset.

X2. I don't think you will have to reset it though. Once you fill the def the system should reset itself.
