Factory remote start install
Hey guys, i have been reading a couple post regarding adding remote start from ford, my question is does anyone know if the factory remote start has a built in turbo saver? Looking at trying to find a turbo saver, would also like remote start, maybe i can kill two birds with one stone.
Thanks

This is gonna be a tough one. Your kinda asking for one peice of equipment that will do 2 totally diffrent things. First off no remote car started has a egt sensor.
But by God if there is one out their, these boys will know were to send ya |

I'm confused. So you want a factory installed remote start? And you want a "turbo saver", that runs the truck after you turn it off to cool the turbo down? I may be mis understanding.

I don't believe there is a turbo timer on the stock system. But I am subscribing incase someone knows.
When I bought my truck I thought it would have the function... (I have the factory remote start) |

This isnt gonna help the op much but I am suprised that todays trucks dont come with a basic egt guage and a turbo timer or cool down system.

I know on my last truck 1997 7.3 i had an aftermarket remote start and alarm system, and it had a built in turbo saver, it wasn't fancy you had no guage and it was set in incruments of 5,10,15,20 min. Just curious if you are able to do that on the factory remote start.

I use my remote and leave the truck run for a minute if just in town normal driving. If pulling a load I let it run for 5 minutes before I shut it off so it can cool down.
