How are new Super Duties Shipped?

I ordered a new F350 the second week in December. I figured 6 weeks to deliver. I'm told he truck was assembled in Louisville the week of 1/14. I was told it shipped from the factory 1/23.

It ain't here yet and I'm getting worried.

Do any of you knowledgeable in the dealer ordering and delivery process understand how the Super Duties are shipped and what the average transit time would be? I understand they ship by rail first, and then transport truck next. I wonder what the routing would be to the Minneapolis area. What can go wrong in the shipping process that I need to be aware of. Those that ordered new trucks, how long did it take to get delivery, and was there any damage?

I'll be seriously disappointed if my new truck has shipping damage. I'm spending all my savings and then some for this truck!

It would be a whole lot easier to order from Amazon and have it shipped UPS ground! Then I would know the price of the truck, and could track its shipment at any moment! Buying a vehicle from a "dealer" is not fun.

How are new Super Duties Shipped?

They come to me first for a romping then to actual buyer!!! Jk. My buddies took about 8 weeks from day at dealer to call to pick it up. Do a very through look over as he found a small scratch in rear bumper too late.

I thought the were shipped FedEx. Just check it over when it arrives. This should be a good purchase not a stressful one.

When I ordered mine it was on lot, so it was like next day delivery, older couple delivered to my drive, sign papers, wrote them a check and they was gone. I am guessing delivery depends on how far from factory or where they have a truck that is spec'ed the way you want it. Mine came from Kentucky Plant, sitting in lot in MO. Delivered to my drive with 170 miles, and I am 165 miles from lot. But look it over I am noticing alot of orange peel on my paint on passenger side

I am located in the Minneapolis area. The 6.7 F350 was assembled in the Louisville, KY, plant and shipped January 23. I would think it would be rail to some big depot up north, and then transporter to my "dealer". I was told about 6 weeks from time of order, but I am at nine weeks and counting.

Has something gone wrong? Is nine weeks normal? Does it take over 3 weeks to ship a new truck from Louisville to Minneapolis?

How are new Super Duties Shipped?

Give it until 12 weeks and if it isn't there yet then I'd start to make some calls.
