Miles Per Tank?

I traded in my 6.4 last week for a 6.7. I love everything about it. It has a 6" lift, kept my 37" tires and am running the Mini without the delete for the next week or two. Its a short bed so I have the 26 gallon tank, which I wish was atleast 30 like the 6.4. My question is for others running the 26 gal tank, how many miles do you see on a tank of gas, and what mods do you have? This truck runs great even before the tuner, unlike the 6.4, so I am wondering if it is even worth deleting. Thanks

25gal tank sucks. Im filling up at 1/4 tank and end up putting in about 18-19 gallons. I would venture to say I get around 350 miles.

Even though I have 37 gallon tank, I put 25 gallons in at each fill up. 16mpgx25=400 miles per "tank"

320-350 on a 1/8th tank remaining. That was tuned, but not deleted. Just did the delete yesterday, hoping for much better results.

I would be hard pressed to see any miles if I put "gas" in the tank! LOL! Ok...no flaming...I just think it's funny when we ask about gas mileage or miles per tank of gas. So...no offense!

You ask a good question. One of my top 3 reasons for going long bed was the larger tank. I've pulled out 650 miles on a tank and had some room to spare. I feared what would happen towing and have read some folks stopping every 250 miles. Yikes.

I think you'll need to get a feel for your MPG actual vs what the lie o meter says. Some are consistent...others not. Mine is within .5 mpg (it's an optimistic truck) most of the time except with extended idling...when it is even more optimistic (~1 mpg off). So once you have a feel for it you can make your decisions on refueling. I've put 35 g in my 37g tank....

If he had said Gasoline I would agree with you. But "gas" is a synonym for fuel...

I put diesel gas (fuel) in my truck at every fill up. No offense here either.

99% highway miles, I get about 430 before I'm at 50 miles to E.

I have been putting some miles on my truck lately. I'm getting 15.1 MPG at 85-90mph. About 450-490 miles per tank. If I go slower 70-75mph 17-18 MPG.

I have put 6000 miles on it this month. I love this truck. It is so nice!

Love the big tank on the long bed...pulled 660 miles on one tank during my last trip...love not stopping! Sorry, my post is a brag and of no help...
