6.7 Rod Bearing at 37K
Truck has been at the dealer 4 weeks. Ford is trying to decide if they will replace with a short block or long block. F-350 4WD has been relatively trouble free. Gets 12 MPG pulling 40Ft 15K 5th wheel. Oil was changed every 5K until I switched to synthetic and then went to 10K.

I didn't have anything to do with switching to a better oil.
Good luck, let's hope you get it back soon. |

Not a rod bearing
After tear down broken lifter discovered. Lifter broke lifter bore, flattened cam lobe, damaged piston and scored cylinder wall. Ford dealer ordered long block. 6 weeks into it long block received. New long block now has cast aluminum oil pan. I have not been able to find out if there are any other improvements.

Truck is still at the dealer. New motor is finally in the frame. Quite few upgrades with the new motor. Caruso (Long Beach Ford) provided me with a new Lincoln MKS loaner the whole time. Having problems towing the 5th wheel with the Lincoln though. I visit the truck and talk to the mechanic weekly.
