Using Livewire from 6.4 on a 6.7 - Can it be done??????

hey guys.. i usually hang out in the 6.4 area as i have an 08 6.4... i'm tuned and deleted using a livewire.. tunes are in my sig..

I've done some searching and haven't turned up anything i was looking for. Hoping one or some of you guys have experience with this...


I may be in the market for a 2011 or 2012 6.7 in the future... the off road tuners are becoming worth their weight in gold in recent weeks with the EPA crack down. My question to you guys.. if i were to return my 6.4 to stock (Reload stock tune, put DPF back on) and then load custom off road 6.7 tunes on my livewire, and then load them onto a deleted 6.7, will that work? or is there something else that i need to do to the livewire? i just want to make sure i have my ducks in a row and i'm trying to plan for the future... if i cant do it, i'll just look for another newer 6.4 with less miles on it than mine in a year or 2 and go from there. but the 6.7's are really growing on me.


(i'm not here to start a bashing contest about which motor runs better tuned, i just want to know if the hardware will work on a 6.7)

so i've been doing a little more thinking... i would think there wouldn't be an issue if the firmware and everything was up to date on the livewire. and I was to get a custom "off road" tune from somewhere for a 6.7 that was emailed to me. as long as the livewire isn't married to the current 6.4 i have now.. i dont see why it wouldn't work? i just dont have any experience with it or know enough about it. anyone else? i've been searching for days for more answers on this and found zippy!

The old livewire offroad tuner for the 6.4 PN # 9625OR does not work on the 6.7, the new livewire PN # 5015 does work on the 6.7 but does not do offroad tuning. You can still get a Spartan though that will do what your asking for and the prices on those have not changed.
