Lifted fuel mileage

Just lifted my 2012 cc diesel. I only lifted it 4.5 inches with 22s and 35s and the fuel mileage went from 17.5 at 75 to 14.5 mpg. I was wondering if this is normal for such a small lift.

That is fairly normal with a lift. Keep in mind you are making an already less than aerodynamic brick taller with more rolling resistance due to a larger/heavier tire. Fuel mileage will suffer. But, the cool factor is well worth it in my opinion.

What size tires did you have before? Are you taking into account the change in diameter? And hand calculating, or going off the lie-o-meter?

Your lucky it didn't drop less than that. Anytime you lift a truck this big your going to get some serious wind resistance going down the road. However, if you like the looks of your lifted truck than it's worth it. Everything in life has a compromise.

The rims are 22x11 and guessing pretty heavy. The speedo is off by maybe 1 mph it's close to my gps. I couldnt be any happier with the way it turned out just wondering if it was normal. Not complaining cause with anything you have to sacrifice something.

A good mount of that is due to the added weight in the tires and wheels. compare the weight to stock and im sure you will be shocked.

Totally normal. I believe wind resistance is your biggest factor. Before my F350, I put 20" 33s on my Tundra, w/ XD Monster wheels & Terra Grapplers...no real change in MPG...

BUT, then I did a 3"/1" level lift...boom...went from 16.7 mpg to 14.2 mpg overnight. Sucked big time. Only explanation was a lot more wind was getting under the front end...which explains the OEM rake angle and low front end height...
