normal oil and trans temp
Well took a little trip this weekend, mind you I live here in south texas and it has been warmer than usual. I am seeing oil temps of 208 and trans temp of 199 to 200. Is this normal for just freeway driving unloaded. It has been in the upper 70s the past 4 days. Seems kind of high, want know yalls opinion.

It is Normal. These trucks just run at high temps. I'm in central Texas and cruising down i35 my oil temp is 204-208 depending on terrain of the road and tranny is 198-204 usually as well. Soon as you slow down it cools right back down.

Don't be surprised to see Oil temp go as high as 242° when you are climbing a grade with a trailer on. Perfectly normal for serious work.

Lol thanks for your input ppls, about to delete everything in the next week or two and am asking all these questions. Need to do warranty work on the trans and then time to install the h&s and delete. I cant wait to run my truck the right way and add some power.

It's definitely a good feeling when you can actually hear it and smell it!
