Yes and no. The maxxforce 13 engine which uses the same egr cooler technologys. THe low temp section bein so cool it doesnt keep the soot burned off as well and the condensation that builds up inside that cooler is way more than youd honestly expect. Its something i think ford owners will see alot of in the future. Really it doesnt hurt the engine but itll start throwing the egr valveopen and make the truck act erractic then throw a cel cause the egrt isnt where it should be.

30500 got it last april 08/10 build but had bad regen issuse 75-125 even on long freeway travel that local dealer said was normal and I said he was a code reader and not a tech in so many words but dealer 25 miles away said let us check it out and found lose ground on harnes. since then 150-350 regen and no turbo surge and may be to soon but looks like mpg improvement. Never could get better than 18 all freeway and 60.

nothing like that. infact it appears that there is not even an updated design to the EGR cooler. The TSB just instructs us to replace the cooler, no reprogram, no updated parts

I just hope I don't have to redo these coolers a year or 2 down the road

O trust me you will. This cooler is identical in design to the 2 stage coolers navistar uses. The maxx13 we have a cleaning system to clean the high temp cooler. Seems as though condensation is the biggest cause for plugging. They have had 3 or 4 diff cals to help prevent it but i see no decrese in them. GOt literally 6 at our dealer now for Egr cooler Low Flow detected
