Ford ESP worth it?
I just bought a new 2012 CCSB Lariat 6.7 diesel. I am totally against all extended warranties in principal and philosophy. However, with the price of any repairs these days, I am wondering if the ESP of around $3000 to 100,000 miles would be worth it. Any opinions?

Yes, if you get the premium it is bumper to bumper. I was just looking at all the really neat gadgets in the truck, heated seats, cooled seats, power fold / extend mirrors, etc. I am not too worried about engine failures as those are covered to 100,000 already. I was thinking about it for the little things that could be expensive.

Ford ESP worth it?
I bought a 100k mile esp on my 2013 for $1500, but I made the finance manager put in writing that any aftermarket components I installed did not void my warranty. I figure the warranty company might not care about his notes, but worst case, I will have some leverage on the dealer. Piece of mind for me to have a 100k mile warranty.

Ford ESP worth it?
The power train has a 100k warranty. The rest is a 3 year 36k warranty. The ESP premium care will cover almost everything but it IS NOT a true 100k bumper to bumper. Pretty close, but not. I used to be a service advisor for ford and we hated the salesman who would sell these warranties and not explain them fully. IMO, though, I say it is a good investment.

Check your state's laws as well. In CA, you can purchase an extended warranty for the same price up until the last day your vehicle is under the 3 year / 36K factory warranty. The dealers hate telling you that.
