What should I pay?
So I am looking at a 2012 F-250 Lariat cc/sb from a local dealer and I am not impressed with their pricing so far. The sticker on the truck is $62,500 and after 9% taxes and rebates they are only dropping the price down to $60,000. The current rebate they show is $4500.
I have seen people talk about 10-12k off sticker so is that a reasonable goal for a leftover truck? Invoice is roughly $57 and then they try to add lot upkeep cost and sewer and light bill for their dealership to the price. Lol It seems like prices are much better in Texas and other states around there. |

That seems high for taxes, are thye figuring ttl in that price? My truck stickered for 63,200. Out the door I paid 52,000, I then had to register with the state for another 2000. So all in all with tag, title and license was 54,000. I would tell them to pound sand and go down the street to another dealer.

Way too much. You would be better off buying a Texas truck and driving home. I have a buddy who is a sales director for Grapevine Ford here in Texas that always does good pricing. I can get you some contact info if you would like. I was pricing a 2012 Lariat 4x4 and got a price of $44,500 (I had a $1000 private offer). Sticker was $59k I believe.
Here is the truck...their advertised price kills what you are getting quoted. It was this exact truck (think they still have it) for the $44,500 New 2012 Ford F-250 Lariat For Sale in Grapevine TX CEB29024 | Grapevine New Ford For Sale 1FT7W2BT0CEB29024 |

Yeah I am not going to buy at that price for sure. He is a funny breakdown of the price.

Yes I chuckled a pretty good bit when they sent that to me. Oh well off to find the yellow brick road to Texas maybe.

Wow i've been charged the BS $500 dealer fee or whatever they call it now, but for them to outright charge you for their utilities? And ADVERTISING?!?! You should be able to convince them to get down to at least invoice, though.

Yeah that's BS. I walked out with a 2012 F250 XLT CC/SB for $42k all said and done.

That cost analysis is embarrassing. If that is an acceptable sales tool at that dealership, I would run away and never look back.
