High idle wont shut off

Afternoon ya'll, just a quick question concerning the high idle on my 2011 6.7.
Its been getting into the -20 deg weather at night here and the high idle kicks in just fine, but when i hit the brake to put it into gear it doesnt idle back down. Needless to say im putting it in gear at about 1000 rpm, i rolled both windows down to listen for a clanking noise and there is none but, is this normal? My old 6.0 would idle back down when the brake was pushed in, this truck does not. My dealer had no idea what to tell me other than to bring it in which is a pain in the butt. any help would be appreciated, thanks!

My last truck was a 93 gasser, so I have no previous experience. My truck does the exact same thing as yours, I never thought it was a problem though. 1100 rpm till I shift into gear, then 600ish... This is every night the ambient temp is below 20.

If it drops down once you go into gear, I wouldn't worry about it.

Roger that guys, I'm not too worried about it. Mainly curious if other 6.7 owners trucks do the same thing. When I listen closely I'm pretty sure I can hear it idle down just before it goes into gear. I'd rather it just come down with the brake pedal though
