2012 6.7 vibration & burnt rubber/brake smell

Hi folks, new to the Ford family. Just bought the truck. Seems to have a slight vibration at different speeds. Also ,I have a weird rubber/brake type smell at different times. any ideas?? Is the clean exhaust filter light telling me it is doing it or do I need to take to dealer?? Thanks.

The slight burning smell is something that I have noticed on every new vehicle I have bought for the first 500 miles or so. The vibration seems to be pretty commen on these tricks between the speeds of 45 to 50.

The cleaning exhaust filter is telling you hat the truck is in regen, which means its cleaning the filter. If you stop during or shortly after the cleaning process you will smell the hot burning odor that is associated with the cleaning process. I bet you will hear he exhaust popping and pinging as well.

I have just 2800 miles on my 2012 and recently on two occasions (200 - 250 mile interval) the clean exhaust filter has come on within 5 miles of my house. I too have noticed the high heat smell. I would say this is normal and for now IM not worrying about it as it's just part of the cleaning process.
